This absolutely stunning ring derives from the very early Victorian era and features a silver rose cut diamond encrusted flower at its centre on a Bristol blue glass background.

This wonderful ring is marked for Dutch 14ct gold on on the outside of its band, with an oak leaf hallmark.  It is in excellent condition given its age and the diamonds are well set and secure.  It is a great size - 2cm x 1.5cm and features a tiny locket on its underbelly.  It has the extra benefit of a beautifully decorated band - a UK N, which is a US 7.

Often referred to as "cobalt blue glass", Bristol Blue glassware is made mixing cobalt with molten glass to produce the distinctive and magical blue colour.  (Have a look at the video and look at the beautiful blues which are lit up inside the glass when the sun hits it)  Finally, what makes objects made from this glass  so special, is that the process is done entirely by hand.  A true work of art!
