Hand-Carved Natural Gourd Wine Flask

A double-lobed gourd flask hand-carved with traditional motifs and finished with a rope carry strap and lacquered base.

The double-lobed form follows the classic hu lu silhouette, with a narrow waist between the upper and lower spheres and a lacquered black neck stopper at the top. Carved relief runs across the full surface of both lobes, with geometric border bands framing the central motif on each face. A small wooden ring sits at the waist and anchors the braided rope strap for carrying or hanging. Two miniature dried gourds hang from the waist rope as decorative pendants. The black lacquered display base lifts the flask off the surface and keeps it stable when not carried.

The interior is waxed for liquid use. Suitable for cool liquids only. Not for hot drinks. Rinse with cool water or a small amount of spirit before first use.

Dragon Motif carries a phoenix and dragon medallion on the lower lobe surrounded by cloud scroll patterning, with a Chinese character panel on the upper lobe. Fortune Motif carries interlocking floral lattice across the full surface with auspicious character medallions centered on each lobe.

Both motifs are available in 500 ml and 1 litre capacity.
