THE BRASIDAS is cast at full combat extension - legs split, body low, spear arm pulled back overhead at the moment before release. The shield arm is forward and braced. The pose holds a fraction of a second that most sculpture avoids because it is nearly impossible to cast with structural stability at this scale. At 25 cm tall with a 30 cm horizontal footprint, the figure earns its floor space before a viewer reads a single detail.

The finish separates this piece from every other in the collection. The torso is bare. No breastplate, no armor plating over the chest and abdomen - the bronze is applied directly to cast muscle anatomy. Abdominal definition, pectoral line, shoulder musculature: all present as sculpted surface, all finished in the same deep antique bronze that covers the arms and legs. The Corinthian helmet and greaves are silver-pewter. The hoplon shield is plain, large, and polished to a brushed silver face with no relief marking - it reads as raw campaign equipment, not parade armor.

The cape is the most vivid red in the series. It billows fully behind the figure at the angle of the lunge, cast in fabric-texture resin with deep fold lines pressed into every fall. A single gold brooch at the collar connects it to the shoulder. That is the only gold element the front face shows.

This is the largest piece in the Spartan collection. It belongs on a surface that can take the weight of it - a library shelf, a sideboard, a credenza. Not a desk.
