A standing female figure is rendered as if caught in a strong lateral wind.
The body is sliced horizontally into parallel layers, each layer displaced to one side at increasing distance from the torso.
The layers taper to sharp points at their ends, the longest reaching 53cm from the figure's core.
The head tilts slightly into the wind direction, the face rendered with more detail on Type 2 than Type 1.
The figure's legs and feet remain grounded and intact — only the body above the hips breaks into the layered wind-form.
The teal verdigris finish sits across all surfaces of the figure, deeper in the gaps between layers and lighter across the flat upper faces of each slice.
On Type 1, the matte black base reads as a clean, neutral anchor beneath the teal. On Type 2, the aged bronze base echoes the patina of the figure and reads as a warmer, more unified composition.
At 53cm wide, the piece reads horizontally as much as vertically — the wind direction gives it strong directional movement across the surface it sits on.
Suits living rooms, home offices, gallery spaces, entry consoles, and lobby display areas.
