A wine bottle lying flat loses pressure against the cork.
A wine bottle stored upright loses the cork's moisture seal.
The correct angle is roughly 15 degrees - horizontal enough to keep the cork wet, elevated enough to remain accessible. Sommeliers have known this for centuries. Most wine racks look like they were designed by someone who forgot the bottle was going to be in a room.
The Silence Collection solves the storage problem. Then it solves the room problem.
Two figures. Same aged bronze finish. Same black square plinth. Same 31cm height. Each one a distinct sculptural gesture - one holding the silence, one holding a thought. Both holding a standard 750ml wine bottle at the correct resting angle when displayed with a bottle. Both standing as resolved abstract sculptures when displayed without one.
The finish is heavily textured resin, worked to a hammered, crinkled surface that reads like aged patinated bronze under warm light. No two surface planes catch light identically. The black square base grounds each piece with gallery-weight authority.
This is the wine display that does not announce itself as wine storage. Guests see the sculpture first. The bottle second. The intention last.
