Venus' Droplet, Earrings

I came across these antique glass droplets years ago. They are each slightly different, indicating they are each handmade. They conjure images of droplets dropping off of Aphrodite, pearlescent cocoons of mystical sea creatures, swirling architecture of ocean palaces...

One earring features a scallop shell, and the other features a venus shell (both cast from the real thing!)

The earring with the droplet measures 62mm long (including ear hook) and the other measures 50mm long (including ear hook). One weighs .21 ounces and the other .23 ounces.

They have been blackened and then given lightly polished for the details, ridges and lines to pop with contrast while also allowing the patina to stay dark in contrast to the light pearl glass.
