At 20", this flat curb chain looks wonderful as a standalone piece, or layered with a variety of other chains. I have styled this with pendants and charms, a charm connector, and even fashioned it as a "double-chain" bracelet, if it can wrap around your wrists twice.
Curb chains are known for their flat(round or oval-shaped) interlocking, twisted links. The links are twisted until flattened. In some cases they can even be fed through a rolling mill to make the chain truly flat.
Their use and purpose can be tracked back to ancient civilizations where Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans alike used these inks for various purposed to include jewelry adornment and even armor.
Curb chains also come from the equestrian world! They play an important role in the bridle setup, typically attaching to rings of a curb bit, often in use with a curb strap.
