Vintage 14k Yellow Gold & Emerald Ornate Double Slider Charm

This slider charm was likely a part of a vintage slider charm bracelet or watch chain. I don't currently have either of these in my inventory, but know it would look beautiful on a thinner chain, or looped onto a double slide charm bracelet!

It has a beautiful polished finish, seeded pearls, and a centered emerald. 

Slider charms, also known as Victorian slides have a history rooted in the Victorian Era (1837-1901) and were initially used to be a part of decorative watch chains. They were ornate in style and usually embellished with gems. They were used to adjust the length of a woman's necklace chain, holding a pocket watch! In the 1930's collectors began to repurpose these slides into bracelets by stringing them onto gold chains.
